Big Springs Snowy Walk

It's fun to see how Big Springs changes through the seasons.  There's still a bit of snow up there--a lot more than when we took Aynie and Bryce a few days before Christmas.  This time of year is good for low saturation or black/white photos. When I saw the snake grass in the snow and the moss on the tree trunk I thought that was the only bright natural color other than brown outsidse this time of year.  I do love when the sky is clear blue behind a sunset pink washed Timpanogos mountain, however.

The mud and pot holes were huge.

Skiing @ Brighton

Tomorrow Aynie and Bryce head to Mesa, AZ, so we all headed to Brighton to enjoy the new snow. Mark and Shannon had been skiing already this season, but it was the first ski day of the season for the rest of us.  Unfortunately, many other locals had the same idea and the line wait was long, probably because several lifts were not yet open (not enough snow in those parts.) But, after 2 p.m. we were quickly cruising throught the lift line and down the slopes. Everyone else must have gotten tired.

The weather was beautiful. The snow was great, but unfortunately Bryce fell off of a rail in the "Park" and broke his wrist. That really cuts down on the practice of dentistry. His professors told him he has a nice break  from the clinic to study for 6 weeks. Nobody likes a cast in his/her mouth.
