Aspen and Daniel Left Their Mark

Deer Droppings

I think the hand prints from Dan the Man and Aspen are wayyyyy more artsy than the photo of deer droppings on the front lawn. I didn't post the d.d.s photo. I will if I get a request--which is highly unlikely.

Snowy Walk To Dry Canyon

This photo is suppose to be a pano. Only 1/3 of it is showing. That's cause of my blog format. But, "How to change it?" that is the question. It was a nice walk though. Muddy under the warm snow makes it a bit sloppy.

Freezer Burn

I Hate Defrosting

It took me three hours to defrost this thing. Always, always buy a frost-free. The business about the food getting freezer burn more quickly is bogus. My bread and buns get freezer burn pretty darn fast in this thing, too. At the end of this job I resorted to hot water. Didn't want to melt the freezer into a puddle of plastic.

Snow Ain't Bother'N Me

Maybe because I have so much personal insulation. Maybe because I don't have to commute in it or work out in it. Maybe because I don't have to mow the lawn or maybe because the bindweed is still hibernating--I don't mind the snow. I would like the temps to stay cold enough to permit continued good skiing, so the latest rain is good only ecologically, not ski-logically.

I've gotten a knitting bug lately. Not that I spent a lot of time in one sitting knitting, but I've finished some knitted slippers, dishclothes and a hat. Seems I go in spurts when it comes to knitting, Spanish study, chess, Scramble and digital scrapbooking. Probably because there are more necessary tasks to perform. (aka laundry).
