UT State Fair--Yippeeeeeeee!

No chickens.  Did jayah hear me?  Can you believe it?  No fancy chickens anywhere at the Fair, just many,  many trinket vendors and this:

The peach in Shannon's right hand weighed in at a whopping 10.4 ozs.  Who would have thought that measly tree could crank out 16 of these whoppers.

UT Lake Ain't that Bad

Brad and Mark didn't get many chances to boat this summer because they were often lifeguarding. Mark brought some friends. We had fun although the water temperature had dropped significantly by the beginning of September.

Garden Photos

I'm working up to blogging about Ayn's wedding preparations, but I'm not quit ready to tackle it.  But, the garden is another matter.  I'm still learning how to use our camera, a Cannon Rebel 450D, and needed some practice.  The dragonfly on the peach made me run and get the camera.





I've discovered manual focus and live view and really, really like it.
