Bob and I tried for three weeks to make a day trip to Gooseberry Mesa near LaVerkin and Hurricane, Utah. We biked just south of Zions National Park.
The first time we planned to go I got sick. The second time we planned to go Shannon got sick. The third time Bob got sick and the fourth time was the charm on December 15th, although Shannon had school and couldn't go with us. It had recently rained and there was lovely red mud caked on the wheel wells and the underside of the Suburban.
I yacked the whole time--4.25 hours down, and the same back. Bob a good listener. We planned to check the area and the trail before we took the kids down there. It was fun, but a lot of driving for two hours of biking that ended with Bob's bike having a flat tire and our tire pump malfunctioning.
