I added the above two specimens to my Study in Yellow.

Come the happy light hour about 6pm I headed outside to photograph Paul's cottonwoods. The one good thing I can say about cottonwoods is that they are a beautiful yellow in autumn; otherwise, they are a trash tree. One yellow leaf lead to another and I decided I would collect photos of all the yellowish foliage in my yard. It was surprising how many plants were gilded by one of my favorite colors.

We were on a Sunday walk taking photos to send to Bradley. Shannon was in a  mood and didn't want me to take her photo. Here she is trying to blend into the cattails and then into the blooming sage. Note: Sage smells bad when it blooms

Ludwig needed glasses for General Conference and Hazel posed momentarily.

On the other hand here I am NOT trying to blend in by performing my version of the Karate Kid stork pose. We need Ayn to perform her dancer pose, but, alas, she is two thousand miles away.

South Fork Cascade Springs Round 2

The first trip on the South Fork Cascade Springs trail was beautiful, but this time the colors were even better.  Aspens had joined in the color show and Bob was able to enjoy the fall leaves more this time.  He is red/green color blind, so the maples' show wasn't that hot to him.
